Frequently Asked Questions
Since every Star Map is unique and represents a very special memory, the print quality has the highest priority for us. That's why we work with high quality museum quality matt fine art paper and a small but highly professional printing manufacturer. We have tested a variety of printing methods and paper variants to achieve a quality that not only looks great, but also lasts. So instead of the usual posters, we manage to create a valuable print that you can proudly hang or give away. We print on sensitive paper, so please treat your Star Map with care. In order for the Star Map to reach you in this condition, we use extra robust shipping sleeves.
Short and painless:
Based on the location and time, we calculate the constellation of the stars visible to you. Since the earth rotates around itself and in the course of a year around the sun, the starry sky changes depending on place and time. With the help of thousands of data from the European Space Agency (ESA), we can show you not only past starry skies, but also constellations of stars in the future.
For all those who want to know more:
The information for our maps comes from the Hipparcos Catalogue (HIP) of the European Space Agency (ESA). It is a high-precision star catalogue measured by the Hipparcos astrometry satellite. The results established a new era in astrometry and its measurement of more than one hundred thousand stars now renews the image of our cosmic environment. For further information: www.sci.esa.int/hipparcos. The star map shows all stars (magnitude 6) theoretically visible to the human eye under a dark sky. You can compare your Star Map with any open source planetarium software. We recommend Stellarium.org for this. From a human perspective, the relationship between the stars and our solar system is changing incredibly slowly. Therefore, already in ancient times people could see the same known constellations that we still admire today. Nevertheless, the starry sky visible to us changes every night, every week and every year as the Earth revolves around itself and the Sun.
Unfortunately not. We wanted to create a really great print that reflects the value of the special moment. Prints from other printers could have a negative impact on the result and might not do justice to the gift.
Currently we only offer the classic and popular poster sizes of 50x70cm.
We are working on it, but don't offer frames yet. However, the dimensions (50cm x 70cm) of our Star Map are totally common, so you can easily find a suitable frame. For example, visit Ikea or your local frame dealer. Please let us know if you would like a frame service from us in the future.
Currently we offer payments via PayPal, credit card, Sofortüberweisung, pay later via Klarna, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

We have compiled a list of the countries we currently supply for you here:
We cannot guarantee the possibility of a change after the order has been received. However, depending on the volume of orders, we try to build in a time buffer between order and printing, so that short-term adjustments are often still possible.
Once your package has been handed over to DHL, we will send you a shipping confirmation by email. In this mail you will find a tracking link that you can use to check where your shipment is at any time. If you have any problems, please contact us at email@example.com so that we can try to help you.
Since each Star Map is personalized and individually made, we cannot use it any further. Therefore, a return or refund is not possible if you do not want to have the Star Map after all.
